1940s sew over it dress

Hi it's been a while since my last update but I have been busy this weekend making a dress to make up for it!

I have been checking out other sewing blogs and I have come across some fantastic sewists and patterns made by independent sewing companies (or as I hear often Indie pattern designers). One of these is the company 'sew over it' who do lots of vintage inspired dress patterns and lucky for me I have been meaning to get into making vintage clothes for ages!

To make this dress I downloaded the pattern as a pdf and printed it out, the pages are numbered for you to match them up. Although this method is cheaper and instant to download it is quite fiddly to do and I'm not entirely convinced I matched the pages up accurately enough, next time I will just buy the pattern ready made.

You can check out the sew over it website here.

Hope you like the dress, for my next project I will be making the sewaholic Cambie dress :)
